Possible Reasons for a Duplicate Charge:

  1. Authorization Hold – Some banks temporarily hold funds when a payment is attempted, but these should automatically disappear within a few business days.
  2. Multiple Pledge Attempts – If you modified your pledge or accidentally backed the project twice, you may have been charged for each attempt.
  3. Payment Processing Error – In rare cases, a system glitch can result in duplicate charges.


What to Do Next:

  1. Check Your Bank Statement

    • Confirm whether both charges are fully processed or if one is still pending.
    • If you only see one completed charge, the second charge should disappear soon.
  2. Check Your Kickstarter or Gamefound Account

    • Visit your pledge history to see if multiple pledges were created.
    • If so, you may need to cancel one of them to prevent additional charges.
  3. Contact Your Bank

    • If both charges are fully processed, check with your bank to confirm whether one can be reversed automatically.
  4. Contact Our Support Team

    • If the duplicate charge is confirmed and hasn’t been refunded automatically, email us at support@itustudio.comwith:
      • Your pledge ID
      • A screenshot of the charges from your bank statement
      • Your Kickstarter or Gamefound account email
